Wood with a Story, Crafted for Generations

At Woodland Hardwoods, we believe every piece of wood has a story to tell. As a family-owned business in the heart of Woodlandville, MO, we take pride in sourcing rare and reclaimed hardwoods, preserving their history, and transforming them into something extraordinary.

From fallen trees with decades of growth, disease and damage to salvaged lumber with a past, we see more than just wood—we see heritage, craftsmanship, and untold stories waiting to be shared.

Whether we’re milling a log into live-edge slabs, kiln-drying lumber, or crafting one-of-a-kind pieces, our process is rooted in craftsmanship and respect for nature. We work with anyone who shares our passion for quality and character, ensuring every piece we produce is ready to become part of your home, your space, and your story.

Our Story

Woodland Hardwoods was born from a deep-rooted love for craftsmanship and the stories wood carries through time.

For Scott, one of our owners and head craftsmen, that love started generations ago. But it wasn’t until he was thirty, standing in his garage with a simple wood lathe, that his fascination truly took hold.

What began as self-taught practice quickly turned into a lifelong passion—one built on respect for the material and the history it holds.

From those early days shaping wood by hand, Scott’s dedication grew into something bigger. What has started as a small sawmill has become a family-driven operation, sourcing rare and reclaimed hardwoods, preserving their stories, and transforming them into timeless pieces.

We believe every tree has a past worth honoring, and every slab we touch has the potential to become part of a new story—whether in a craftsman’s hands, a builder’s project, or a family's home.
